These free javascripts allow you to do some simple content management control on your web site.

Note: These javascripts are capable of only some very basic content management.
For a more advanced content management system, you will need to use one of these free PHP content management (CMS) scripts.

Random Content Order

You can randomize the display order of the content on your page with this script. The order in which the contents is displayed on the page changes randomly each time the page loads. This script is useful when you want to give content equal visibility on the page, so no one piece of content always occupy the top spot. Simply wrap the desired contents in a DIV with the same CSS class attribute, and the script will scramble the display order of these content relative to one another.

Featured Content Slider

Featured Content Slider will make a slideshow out of content on your page, so visitors can manually select the content to see or have it rotated automatically. Pagination links let the user quickly pick the content to show. Each content is simply normal HTML wrapped in DIV tags for effortless integration.

Switch Content

One of the most versatile scripts of its kind, we created this one to compact arbitrary content on your page so they're expandable on demand. This allows you to save space within your webpage and even add to the aesthetics of the webpage's design in many cases. Extremely versatile. The script can be applied to content of all types on your webpage, such as <DIV>, <P>, <TABLE>s etc. Two expanding behaviors- specify whether only one content should be open at any one time, or that previously open content continue to be visible.

Frequency Cap Content

Want to display content that only gets shown once every x hours? With this unique script you can do just that! By using JavaScript cookies and CSS ("display" property), this script lets you cap the display frequency of any content(s) on the page to once every x hours. Each content can have its own frequency cap, and setting up the script is as easy as specifying the IDs of the contents inside the script. Frequency capping is a great way to maximize the impact of a content, to avoid visual "burnout." Use it on content ads, special announcements etc.

Tab Content

Click on a tab, and additional content appears beneath it while contracting any previously open content. The script uses CSS to control all of its appearance, and lets you enter plain HTML for the tab contents, making customization a breeze. Script works in IE5+ and NS6+, degrading well with the rest. Lower browsers will simply see the tabs and content all at once.
