What is multi-domain web hosting?

Multi-domain web hosting is similar to a shared hosting account except that instead of just one site, a number of web sites (perhaps 6) are all hosted on the same hosting account. This solution is usually more cost-effective than having just one web site on each account.

Unlike a reseller hosting account, you are usually not allowed to sell the web space to other users, and all the web sites may share the same FTP account (depends on plan).

Multi-domain web hosting is ideally suited for a webmaster who owns a number of sites or design and then manages sites for customers.

• You can divide up the disk space and data transfer to suit the needs of each web site.

• If the server goes down, all your sites are down too.
